By “getting product”, I mean people who can understand how and why products are made and succeed (or don’t), and can articulate and repeat that outcome.

I really love this post. Neil does a great job of providing a roadmap for people needing to know what to look for in someone who "gets product". There was the added bonus (for me) of being able to vet myself against this list. It made me feel good to know that I was, at least philosophically, on the same page as the "experts" who were asked to describe a person who "gets product".
