Well, Tori Amos can rest easier now that "Strange Little Girls" is no longer the weirdest cover album ever. Not so much as a disclaimer, but more as a matter of fact, I really like Between The Buried and Me. "Alaska" is easily one of the most intense, interesting and downright amazing metal albums in the last 10 years. They have a musical sensibility that obviously pulls inspiration from areas, near and far, of the genre spectrum. It's safe to assume that with "The Anatomy Of", comprised entirely of covers, they wanted to showcase the bands that inspired them.

As someone who gets pretty geeked over tech-toys and also works in a place where it seems that anything is possible, I feel that maybe my expectations for technology are too high and therefor am constantly disappointed with what's available.

My good friend Harper is responsible for my love of cell phones. He turned me on to a store in Chicago where I can buy pretty much any phone that's available, regardless of what part of the world it was intended for.

Back when Chuck Anderson came to skinnyCorp to shoot photos of everyone for the cover of the new Less Than Jake CD, Jacob or Harper thought it would be funny to print out one of the photos that looked like a headshot. We were going to Hot Doug's that day for lunch, so Harper came up with the idea of me autographing one for Doug and giving it to him. For reference, the walls of Hot Dougs are covered with framed images of celebrities... some signed. (image after the jump)
