First I apologize for the “half-head” shot. I’m still getting used to recording on a Flip and like a kid potty-training… my aim is a little off. I’ll get less messy, I swear.
Anyway, I’ll (regular) blog about this later, but I wanted to throw the idea out there that by simply doing what we do – we create an economy of inspiration. There are no rules as to who produces and who consumes. It’s a completely free market, I hope that everyone adds value to both the producer and consumer side to make this economy of inspiration a thriving one.

Your so right, in these days of bad times, good times, all times, we as artists and as people need to be inspired by one another. I truly believe that we will see multiple artists leave the industry due to a multitude of reasons, maybe it’s due to the fact that outside industries see our jobs as a hobby, or maybe it’s because we don’t show each other enough appreciation. People create so much great artwork, and because of the internet, we have been able to see it. But it’s caused so many people to be “channel surfers” of art. Where they glance at something for 10 seconds and say “Yes or No” — but if we can break that habit by continuously showing appreciation for all levels of artists, I think we can continue to inspire each other on non-competitive levels. One of the main reasons I started cataloging artists on what I called “The Collection” — great video post Jeffrey! I love the idea of economy of inspiration, but I truly hope that we can reduce the discouraging fires that a lot of people could create online, and help excel all levels of artists to change our industry into an even more appreciated and respected industry.
