Note: I got rid of the blog I posted about this and am replacing it with the article I wrote for Vitamin. It’s just a re-written version.
April 30th was my birthday and I took the day off. It was supposed to be a relaxing day. It began by making pancakes with my wife, then playing video games for a while. Soon after I went to get a massage followed by some lunch. Lunch threw my day off. We went to a new-to-the-neighborhood, upscale, sit-down sandwich place called Jerry

I have eaten at both of Jerry’s sandwich shops in Chicago.
The first one is their original location, a no frills sandwhich shop with a counter and few chairs. Ther service came with a smile the food was delicious.
After seeing the new location open on Division, I was excited. I was soon not very excited at all. And this happened every time I went their.
I have waited for 110-15 on average for service from a waiter. A greeting from the server can take a few secs. Not even that happened. As we were sitting outside, I found that I could get water faster if I helped myself. Which I have done every time.
Our food arrived, and it was ok. Not properly heated. The fries were cold. Our food runner looked like he stepped off of the street and served our food. Untucked shirt, which looked like it had previously been tucked in, overall dirty appearance.
As Jerry’s is an excellent unique dining experience, I am concerned with their service at this location.
Has tainted my first experience a ttheir original location when I walked out with a big smile at finding such a precious little dining gem.
