One of my most favorite bands, Darkest Hour, released their new record “Deliver Us” last week and I couldn’t be more excited. Simply put, it shreds. The saddest part for me is that I’ve never seen them live. They’ve really only come through on the Sounds of the Underground tour, which is no place for me. Sigh. Hopefully they’ll tour on their own soon!
Anyway, you should really pick it up.
For a while I’ve been meaning to buy the domain kalmikoff.com. People had been telling me to do it for while now since I’ve started to pop up in articles and blogs around the web because of my involvement with skinnyCorp. About a month ago, Harper started getting on me a lot about buying it. Maybe he had a sense something bad was about to happen. I finally sit down to register the domain and sure enough it’s not available. I check the WHOIS, and it’s worse than I thought. It’s being held for “domain tasting” or “domain kiting”. What is that you may ask? Don’t feel bad… I’d never heard of it either. Read More »
Just a heads up for people in New York or people who like to travel to New York that I’ll be speaking at The Future of Web Design on November 7th and 8th. The conference is put on by the fine people at Carson Systems. I’m not sure which day I’m speaking yet, details to come. For anyone keeping score this is going to be my first time speaking by myself, so it may be worth the admission price simply to watch me try to make it through an hour-long speech without anyone there to cut in when I start rambling on about nothing! I have a few months to prepare, so I’m pretty confident all will go smoothly. Emphasis on pretty.
As long as I’m writing about public speaking, I should also mention that I’m speaking at the Double-Click/Performics Client Summit in Chicago on August 14th. Double-Click/Performics is a “search engine and affiliate marketing services and technologies” company. So, this should be interesting with me as a speaker being that the core of my work is about NO ADVERTISING. So, anyone going to that – see you there!
